After almost a full calendar month without rainfall, a much needed rain event blessed Niakwa this past Saturday morning. While the timing was less than desirable impacting the club championship weekend it most certainly had a positive impact on the property. We would like to congratulate all members who participated in the annual championship.
We are inside of 3 weeks until the Canadian Senior Championship. Over the next couple weeks we will work on details and turf health to ensure a positive week. Agronomical plans have begun and this Monday August 24th we will apply our last cultural programs to greens.
As we close in on the event you as a member can have a significant impact on the success of the event. Over the next few weeks an emphasis on course etiquette is required. Please ensure you are repairing ball marks on greens and filling divots when required. These items will be on a list of things to attend too Sunday night ahead of practice rounds and I know our members will leave little work to be completed as it relates to these items. We appreciate your cooperation.
