As we enter the final week of play the focus for the Turfcare team is to keep the course as playable as possible as it relates to leaves. With a couple of frosts hitting the property and some strong winds we are dealing with a heavy leaf drop. Mowing practices have been reduced on all prime play areas with the arrival of frosts. Ground texture is firm which should provide good playing conditions to finish the golf season. Over the next couple weeks the Turfcare team will focus on cleaning the property, tree removals, blowing out irrigation and making timely product applications around Mother Nature to set the stage for the best chance at a successful overwintering. With shorter days and many variables this time of year from Mother Nature these programs can take into November to complete.
We hope everyone enjoyed the 2026 golf season and look forward to a good fall on course to set 2027 up for success.
