Provincial Public Health Orders take effect on July 17

Premier Brian Pallister and Manitoba’s Chief Provincial Public Health Officer, Dr. Brent Roussin, announced that Manitoba will move ahead with the second milestone of its ‘4-3-2 One Great Summer’ Reopening Path.  The new public health order and updated restrictions will take effect on Saturday, July 17, at 12:01am and continue until Saturday, August 7, at 12:01am.  Read More>>

We have not yet received a copy of the written Public Health Order, however, it is our understanding that the new order and restrictions will affect the following areas of service:

Food & Beverage Service

  • Dining – Hours of Operation will extend to 12:00am (midnight)
    • Tuesday to Sunday – 8:00am until 12:00am
    • Monday – 11:00am until 12:00am
  • Outdoor dining (Gupta Terrace) will remain at 50% capacity
    • Up to 8 per table from different households regardless of immunization status.
  • Indoor dining will open at 50% capacity
    • Diners must be from the same household unless everyone at the table is fully immunized.
    • Those who are fully immunized, may have up to 8 per table and may be from different households.
      • Fully immunized, means you have received two vaccinations, waited two weeks from the time of your second dose and are able to provide proof thereof.
    • Serving staff are required to ask for proof of immunization (printed or through government app).
  • Masks must be worn, and physical distancing observed both indoor and outdoors, unless seated at the table.
    • Diners must stay seated at their table unless they are;
      • traveling to or from the washrooms,
      • briefly interacting with staff,
      • entering or leaving the dining room or Gupta Terrace
      • Mingling and dancing are not permitted

Golf Services

  • Golf carts may be shared between members of different households without immunization protocols or use of a protective barrier.
  • Individual golf lessons and group lessons for up to 8 students can now take place as long as participants are well-spaced from each other.  Summer day camps may reopen to a maximum of 8 participants in groups. This number is based on our capacity here at Niakwa and will ensure quality and safety for these events.
    • The Pro Shop will be contacting those who had previously signed up to inform them on how their lessons will proceed.
  • The Pro Shop will be limited to a maximum of 6 customers at one time.

Fitness Centre (Fitness delivered by Domino’s Pizza & Gardewine Group)

  • The Fitness Centre will open at 50% capacity, however, we will maintain a maximum capacity of 4 members.
  • Members are required to pre-book their time online
  • Per government guidelines, members are required to clearly and legibly, sign the Fitness Registry upon entering and exiting the Fitness Centre.

Gallagher Indoor Golf Studio

  • Open for instruction and club fitting by appointment.  Please contact the Pro Shop at 204-256-2013.

Weddings and Events

  • Outdoor weddings and funerals may take place with up to 150 participants, in addition to photographers and officiants.  Indoor weddings and funerals have increased from 10 to 25 people.

An update confirming the changes to our operations will be sent once we have received the official health order along with clarification on the items of note.
